Aura Mastery, Sanctified Retribution, Improved Blessing of Might, Sanctified Retribution, Heart of the Crusader all help the raid. Pursuit of Justice gives me the ability maneuver more quickly. Of course, my spec could change to suit the situation. Two ret paladins don’t need Imp. Blessing of Might if both of them will always be there.
I have a Holy offspec. I have about a 6k gs holy, using the 200 ilevel libram. I’ve healed all ICC 25 NM and most bosses HM, but I don’t quite have the comfort of a mainspec healer.
3) Current guild, guild history, and explanations of why/how you left and joined your current/prior guild(s). Why do you want to leave your current guild? Why do you want to join Divinity?Right now I’m in Internationally Known. I had been in ‘raiding’ guilds before. But IK was my first top 10 server guild. I’ve left my last 3 guilds when they have stopped raiding. I’m not the type to cause problems, get kicked, or quit if things are doing fairly well. I like most of the people in IK but we’ve stopped raiding and I want to raid so… I’m looking for a progression guild and one of my goals is to down H LK, so naturally I’ve been researching all of the true progression guilds on the server. I also have a friend/rival I talk to in Divinity, Zardok. And a long time ago(a month or two) he suggested I app.
4) Discuss your endgame raiding experience (classic, TBC and WotLK) and your goals for WotLK. Be sure to include specifically your hard mode experiences.I joined during TBC, I’ve done Mag, Gruul, Kara, and some of SSC. I started raiding more seriously when I came back to wow during 3.1. I’ve done Naxx 25, most of Uld 25(not Algalon or some members of the council). 4/5 ToGC 25 with many attempts on Anub. 9/12 ICC 25 HM with twice as many attempts than it should have taken to down putrid HM and attempts on Sindra HM as well. And of course, EoE, OS 3D 25, Ony 25, VoA 25, and RS 25. My primary goal for WotLK is downing HM LK, but I really hope whatever guild I do it with keeps raiding after he’s down. I enjoy raiding and friendly competition, I want to progress because it’s a bigger more challenging playground, but the content doesn’t have to be brand new to be fun. My most immediate goals for WotLK are finding a good guild and finishing Shadowmourne—I have 19 shards. I also want to do the meta achieves for ICC and Uld and maybe the Undying achieve in Naxx as well.
5) Discuss your gear and talents, and how they enable you to maximize your raiding effectiveness. What steered you to make your choices (spreadsheet/WWS analysis, forum theorycraft, etc)? Explain any ways in which you are still working on improving your character. Please provide links to WWS/WMO parses that you feel highlight your abilities (this is no longer optional, if you don't know how to acquire one of these check this thread).For a Ret Paladin the most important stat is Strength—everybody has to balance Hit and all melee expertise, of course. On top of Str Providing 2 atp per point, we have a talent that gives us and additional 15% Str. That means multiply any strength value by 115% and then by 2 to get the atp bonus. Next is crit rating agi then haste. Paladins get more crit per point of agi than any other physical dps class. Partially because of that and partially because leather gear has far higher itemization values than plate, a lot of ret pally BiS pieces are actually leather, even though they have no Str. Haste has some added benefit for ret pallies as well. Our BiS trinket is the Tiny Abom. It has a chance to proc off every melee hit as well as seal hits and Righteous Vengeance applications(which happen every time we crit). Therefore, a ret pally has more chances to proc motes of anger than any other class. For example, if a judgment crits we get 3 chances to proc a mote; one from the judgment, one from the seal damage and one from Righteous Vengeance. Procs of the trinket 50% weapon damage hit also cause seal damage, which theoretically gives another chance at a mote of anger. Increasing haste gives more chances at motes of anger, on top of its other benefits. If you’re using Shadowmourne or a Brynn’Troll haste increases the chance of those procs as well. So for ret pally gear you want to be hit-capped and nearly expertise-capped—expertise is slightly less important for us since it only affects 3(including melee) of our 8 abilities can be dodged—you want to stack strength, get lots of haste and crit rating and use mostly leather offset items and agi accessories. My gear right now isn’t quite balanced. I need to get the t10 277 legs, replace the expertise ring with one I have in my bags, and replace the belt I’m using with one that doesn’t have hit to be balanced properly. I do use spreadsheets and read forums. I use some WWS analysis but that has to be done keeping some imperfections in mind. I do some theorycrafting on my own as well. The BiS list I’m aiming for is different than the ones I’ve seen on forums…but they’ll catch up to me if they haven’t already.
My guild dying took me by surprise. I wasn’t planning on leaving so I made no logs of my own and I don’t have records of my best performances. But here’s the last recorded raid we did. Better than just showing you logs of pug normal modes.

Not our guild’s finest moment, and I’m not sure how it happened. Either someone came back in from ooze’s with it on them or we didn’t have enough ranged out.

What other games have you played? Add anything else you feel is pertinent.I just turned 23, I’m a male college student going to be a fifth year senior. I changed majors after my junior year. I swim to stay in shape, I enjoy outdoor and indoor activities I like anything that has to do with logic or using logic and I’m obsessed with cars and the racing game series Forza. I’ve played more games than I care to list or you would like to read…but some of my favorites are the Baldur’s Gate/Neverwinter series. Anything in the Total War series, Heroes of Might and Magic series, Need for Speed and Splinter Cell series. I also like Rainbow 6 Las Vegas, Resident Evil 5, Mario Cart and Smash Bros. And, of course, Halo, CounterStrike and Halflife. That’s about half of my favorites. I’ve played wow on and off since just before BC came out, at first just on a friend’s account. My /played at is something like 2 months between 2 toons, but mostly on my Paladin. I’m pretty easy going, I’m a quick study and I like to learn. I don’t mind criticism at all as long as it isn’t phrased insolently. I enjoy a variety of activities and I like talking to most people, though I’m not very talkative on vent usually.
I am collecting shards for Shadowmourne…it was my turn when my guild died. I know I won’t join and be collecting, but where I get placed on the list after my trial period—if you want me—will affect whether I stay in the guild or not. I would be willing to work something out, perhaps having a trial period and if you like me I can pug for shards while I wait for my turn on the list.
7) What days/times will you be consistently unavailable to raid given our schedule? What are your usual playing hours? Please give an estimate of what raid attendance % we can expect from you.Until school starts again next fall I won’t be missing raids unless it’s a very special occasion. I mostly just log on to raid. I play Tuesday morning because that’s the only day my best friend can. I sometimes log on for PvP or just because I feel like paying. My attendance should be 100%.
