Every guild I have been in since WotLK has slowly stopped trying to progress / gone casual, and that is what is currently happing in the guild i'm in right now. I'm looking for a good, stable and organised guild that suites my raiding times, and Divinity looks like it will do exactly that.


4) Discuss your endgame raiding experience (classic, TBC and WotLK) and your goals for WotLK.  Be sure to include specifically your hard mode experiences. BC: Kara, Mag, Gruuls. I didn't raid much then as I  had a horribad computer. WotLK: Got a nice new computer and raided 10/25 Maly, OS, Naxx, Ony, Ulduar. 4/5 ToGC 25, 5/5 ToGC 10, 9/12 HM ICC 10, 11/12 HM ICC 25, Normal 25 RS. My goals for WotLK is to kill 10/25M HM LK and RS.


5) Discuss your gear and talents, and how they enable you to maximize your raiding effectiveness. What steered you to make your choices (spreadsheet/WWS analysis, forum theorycraft, etc)? Explain any ways in which you are still working on improving your character. I have specced 58/0/13 for pure DPS, and so I can do some DPS when I need to move (Typhoon, starfall, trees etc). I am always trying to keep up to date with my spec / glyphs by reading different forums like EJ and MMO-Champion etc. I want to be the best of my class/spec on the server, and thats what I strive for. My goals aren't just to get gear and thats it, I want to help the guild be the best aswell.


6) Tell us a bit about yourself. How old are you? What is your gender? What do you do (work/school)? What is your personality like? How long have you played WoW? What is your /played at 80? What other games have you played? Add anything else you feel is pertinent. My names Matt, I'm a guy and I'm a New Zealander who lives in Australia. I work in a factory making different meat products, like Ham and Sausages, we also make the Salami that Subway put in their food. I work afternoon / Night shift, thats why this guild is perfect for me. My /played is 182 days 15 hrs, 135 days 12 Hrs@80. In the past 3 yrs or so, I haven't really played much else than WoW.


7) What days/times will you be consistently unavailable to raid given our schedule? What are your usual playing hours? Please give an estimate of what raid attendance % we can expect from you. Weekdays ill only be online during raid times because of work, then about 10 hrs later ill get on for a hr or so after work, on weekends i'm on usually all day.

11-5-55.   This gives me every dps talent that isn’t deeply buried in the prot tree.  Aura Mastery, Sanctified Retribution, Improved Blessing of Might, Sanctified Retribution, Heart of the Crusader all help the raid.  Pursuit of Justice gives me the ability maneuver more quickly.  Of course, my spec could change to suit the situation.  Two ret paladins don’t need Imp. Blessing of Might if both of them will always be there.
I have a Holy offspec.  I have about a 6k gs holy, using the 200 ilevel libram.  I’ve healed all ICC 25 NM and most bosses HM, but I don’t quite have the comfort of a mainspec healer.

Right now I’m in Internationally Known.  I had been in ‘raiding’ guilds before.  But IK was my first top 10 server guild.  I’ve left my last 3 guilds when they have stopped raiding.  I’m not the type to cause problems, get kicked, or quit if things are doing fairly well.  I like most of the people in IK but we’ve stopped raiding and I want to raid so…  I’m looking for a progression guild and one of my goals is to down H LK, so naturally I’ve been researching all of the true progression guilds on the server.  I also have a friend/rival I talk to in Divinity, Zardok.  And a long time ago(a month or two) he suggested I app.

4) Discuss your endgame raiding experience (classic, TBC and WotLK) and your goals for WotLK.  Be sure to include specifically your hard mode experiences.
I joined during TBC, I’ve done Mag, Gruul, Kara, and some of SSC.  I started raiding more seriously when I came back to wow during 3.1.  I’ve done Naxx 25, most of Uld 25(not Algalon or some members of the council).  4/5 ToGC 25 with many attempts on Anub.  9/12 ICC 25 HM with twice as many attempts than it should have taken to down putrid HM and attempts on Sindra HM as well.  And of course, EoE, OS 3D 25, Ony 25, VoA 25, and RS 25.  My primary goal for WotLK is downing HM LK, but I really hope whatever guild I do it with keeps raiding after he’s down.  I enjoy raiding and friendly competition, I want to progress because it’s a bigger more challenging playground, but the content doesn’t have to be brand new to be fun.  My most immediate goals for WotLK are finding a good guild and finishing Shadowmourne—I have 19 shards.  I also want to do the meta achieves for ICC and Uld and maybe the Undying achieve in Naxx as well.

For a Ret Paladin the most important stat is Strength—everybody has to balance Hit and all melee expertise, of course.  On top of Str Providing 2 atp per point, we have a talent that gives us and additional 15% Str.  That means multiply any strength value by 115% and then by 2 to get the atp bonus.  Next is crit rating agi then haste.  Paladins get more crit per point of agi than any other physical dps class.  Partially because of that and partially because leather gear has far higher itemization values than plate, a lot of ret pally BiS pieces are actually leather, even though they have no Str.  Haste has some added benefit for ret pallies as well.  Our BiS trinket is the Tiny Abom.  It has a chance to proc off every melee hit as well as seal hits and Righteous Vengeance applications(which happen every time we crit).  Therefore, a ret pally has more chances to proc motes of anger than any other class.  For example, if a judgment crits we get 3 chances to proc a mote; one from the judgment, one from the seal damage and one from Righteous Vengeance.  Procs of the trinket 50% weapon damage hit also cause seal damage, which theoretically gives another chance at a mote of anger.  Increasing haste gives more chances at motes of anger, on top of its other benefits.  If you’re using Shadowmourne or a Brynn’Troll haste increases the chance of those procs as well.  So for ret pally gear you want to be hit-capped and nearly expertise-capped—expertise is slightly less important for us since it only affects 3(including melee) of our 8 abilities can be dodged—you want to stack strength, get lots of haste and crit rating and use mostly leather offset items and agi accessories.  My gear right now isn’t quite balanced.  I need to get the t10 277 legs, replace the expertise ring with one I have in my bags, and replace the belt I’m using with one that doesn’t have hit to be balanced properly.  I do use spreadsheets and read forums.  I use some WWS analysis but that has to be done keeping some imperfections in mind.  I do some theorycrafting on my own as well.   The BiS list I’m aiming for is different than the ones I’ve seen on forums…but they’ll catch up to me if they haven’t already.  

My guild dying took me by surprise.  I wasn’t planning on leaving so I made no logs of my own and I don’t have records of my best performances.  But here’s the last recorded raid we did.  Better than just showing you logs of pug normal modes.

I healed BQL because we were short.  And VDM.  So there’s a little bit of my offspec in there as well.  Again, not the best logs or my best healing performances but they’re all I’ve got.

I just turned 23, I’m a male college student going to be a fifth year senior.  I changed majors after my junior year.  I swim to stay in shape, I enjoy outdoor and indoor activities I like anything that has to do with logic or using logic and I’m obsessed with cars and the racing game series Forza.  I’ve played more games than I care to list or you would like to read…but some of my favorites are the Baldur’s Gate/Neverwinter series.  Anything in the Total War series, Heroes of Might and Magic series, Need for Speed and Splinter Cell series.  I also like Rainbow 6 Las Vegas, Resident Evil 5, Mario Cart and Smash Bros.  And, of course, Halo, CounterStrike and Halflife.  That’s about half of my favorites.   I’ve played wow on and off since just before BC came out, at first just on a friend’s account.  My /played at is something like 2 months between 2 toons, but mostly on my Paladin.  I’m pretty easy going, I’m a quick study and I like to learn.  I don’t mind criticism at all as long as it isn’t phrased insolently.  I enjoy a variety of activities and I like talking to most people, though I’m not very talkative on vent usually.
I am collecting shards for Shadowmourne…it was my turn when my guild died.  I know I won’t join and be collecting, but where I get placed on the list after my trial period—if you want me—will affect whether I stay in the guild or not.  I would be willing to work something out, perhaps having a trial period and if you like me I can pug for shards while I wait for my turn on the list.

Until school starts again next fall I won’t be missing raids unless it’s a very special occasion.  I mostly just log on to raid.  I play Tuesday morning because that’s the only day my best friend can.  I sometimes log on for PvP or just because I feel like paying.  My attendance should be 100%.

My build is a 51-18-2 mutilate rogue build, It is the current best mutilate build and includes the haste benefit from the combat tree. I also have a second "Lich King" spec. It swaps Fleet Footed for deadly brew and allows application of crippling poison on Valks without having to weapon swap or change poisons mid-fight.

I did the first half of WoTLK in a guild called Havoc on Cairne, we were a us top 200 guild and a job change in the middle forced me to take a break during Ulduar. My next guild was Mowtow, I raided with them from Sep 09 to June 10, I decided to take a month off and the guild started to fall apart due to summer and expansion time. I came to Cho'gall on my druid Alt Nutrishio and heard about the guild through word of mouth and Wowprogress.com

TBC- Pre nerf Sunwell as well as all other Raids. WoTLK- Glory and Heroic Glory to the raider title and Mounts. Ulduar 10 and 25 man Mounts. TOC and TOgC 10 and 25 man cleared. Insanity 10 man and Mad skill 25 man. ICC- Pre-Buff Lich King and 10/12 Heroic ICC. I have cleared HM sindragosa but did not receive credit due to a power outage I also have about 15 hours of practice on HM LK 25 man.

My current gear choice and talent are chosen based on the highest dps build. I use i-dps and a dps check and constantly change around my gemming. I am a max min player, what ever yields the raid the highest out put is where I go. If you notice i currently am glyphed for FOK, this will change in a raid with other rogues if I am trading TotT. I would glyph for that. Also many people comment on the fact that my fast weapon is in the main hand, it is a proven fact that if you have weapons of equal DPS, that the faster weapon goes in the main hand due to the envenom proc. Pre ICC i had written several blogs on weapon swapping and was an avid theory crafter on increasing Mutilate DPS through this method. Unfortunately i have not raided in about a month and do not have a WWS that is still active, I can say that I was listed several times as top 50 on saurfang both pre and post buff and will be more than happy to put one together if needed.  Note-I did speak with excid in game about the lack of wws at this time.

I am a 29 year old male, I am a graduate student and have 158 days on this rogue (wow those have nothing to do with each other). I love to go to the beach and stare at seagulls and My good buddy and I make it a mission to find the inconsistencies of life, point them out and then make jokes at people expense. i have a pilots license and I do not really play any other games. I used to own a Lasertag business and at this point find my self District Managing Coffee to get through graduate school.

     A: DW frost DPS for maximum damage output and obliterates (even more so at clutch times of 35% or less boss health), melee haste buffing and AoE bursting. http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Cho%27gall&cn=Nerfthese . Blood OS for tanking since everyone needs tanks (and instant queues) but I have an unholy OS and will respec for caster heavy DPS buffing.

     A: No current guild. I left my last one on Uldum due to lack of raid attendance, progression and overall people not wanting to better themselves but still be carried. I was however an officer, do still like the core of the guild and keep in contact with them through alts so it was a clean break. I was referred to Divinity through friends I know in person and who have been on this server for quite some time. On top of that, the guild has an excellent word of mouth reputation of being what I'm looking for. And finally in the few short days I've been here, I've had the pleasure of grouping and raiding with some of your members who not only played their classes well but had great personalities and know-how over vent.

     A: Classic: All MC-Naxx. BC: All Kara-SW. WotLK: Naxx-ICC with 9/12 HM in 10m and 2/12 HM 25m. I know all the fights on normal and Hardmode from Tanking, DPS and Healing PoV through videos, strategy guides and attempts, but do not have the achievements to link as I have not had a group of people to run with on the same level.

     A: I still have quite aways to go to be at BiS gear but what I do have and the set up I use is optimal DPS for my Class/Spec/Gear. I chose this through trail and error, raid testing, dummies, forums, talking to other higher geared DKs and calculations. I'd like to get to the gear level to switch all reds to armor pen and test that, but for now it's Str and Str/Haste.      A: Pretty upbeat, can take a joke and know when it's time to get down to business. I'm 23 years young, male, currently work in private security doing personal protection and I am remodeling a restaurant in Scottsdale AZ called Kinnick's. Been playing wow for over 6 years, had the privilege of alpha testing and my brother and I had 2 of the original 50 beta keys. On this character I have just over 60 days played at 80. I've played all the "WoW Killers" Warhammer, AoC, LotR, Aion, the list goes on... Lookin for fun people who can get the job done.

     A: I usually head off to work between 5-6am PST and can be home anywhere from 2-4pm PST. I play nights mostly but shouldn't have a problem making 100% attendance.
